Fashion is not only about following trends, but also about making them. 
In the new issue of Arena HOMME + (winter/spring 09/10) I was amazed to find such a rich and insightful way of looking at fashion. The way the magazine has featured men’s fashion is groundbreaking. 

I was surprised to find a fashion spread on ‘Tough boys in some big frilly dresses’. The title might not leave much to the imagination, but believe me, you have to see this! I read lots of magazines and nowhere have I seen bad-ass rappers in polyester and shiny satin laced layer-upon-layer frilly dresses. (Please leave a comment if you have seen this before)
The magazine truly exemplifies what fashion is all about. Get playful and carry a personal style even with some dressing up required.  Fashion is about putting on a costume.  A paradox, fashion is individual, and how can one be individual when dressing the same as someone else? In that lies the beautiful contradiction. There are no rules.
